The booking deadline for this event has passed. If you would like to attend, please email info@engender.org.uk.
Engender are delighted to welcome Pragya Agarwal for an online event to discuss her work on gender, health and equality in all its forms. It will also be an opportunity to hear all about her brand new book ‘Hysterical’, exploring the myth of gendered emotions.
Pragya’s book ‘Motherhood’ made a powerful and urgent argument for the need to tackle society’s obsession with women’s bodies and fertility and explores issues of racism, ageism and gendered expectations which surround our cultural and political attitudes to women and care. She has also written extensively on tackling racism and unconscious bias, and brings a sharply intersectional lens to issues of health inequality and sexism.
You can submit a question for Pragya when you book your space, or there will be opportunities during the event itself.
