Hustings for Women's Equality

Hustings for Women's Equality

April 1, 2021, 19.00 – 20.45

The booking deadline for this event has passed. If you would like to attend, please email

Hosted by Engender in partnership with national women’s equality organisations, this online hustings is an opportunity for parties to set our their commitments for women’s equality ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections, and to answer questions on women’s rights, Covid-19, economic recovery, violence against women, and many more vital issues.

Asking questions

We're delighted that award-winning journalist Tasnim Nazeer will be chairing the event, asking pre-submitted questions to party representatives.

When you register, you will be given the opportunity to submit a question if you would like. These questions will then be grouped into similar topics, to ensure we have enough time to cover as many different issues as possible. We may be back in contact if your question is selected, to ask if you want to ask it yourself, but there is no obligation to do this!

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, and you can book multiple spaces if you want to bring along friends. The hustings will be held on Zoom, and closed captions and BSL interpretation will be provided; please let us know if there's anything else we can do to make it easier for you to attend.
