EVENING WEBINAR: Women's Rights in Law

January 14, 2021, 18.00 – 19.30

Online webinar

The booking deadline for this event has passed. If you would like to attend, please email info@engender.org.uk.

A National Taskforce is putting together recommendations to the Scottish Government for a new human rights law. This law would build on existing human rights laws to strengthen how all our rights are protected.

Join Engender for a conversation about how a new human rights law for Scotland could benefit women. We'll be discussing Engender's work calling for the incorporation of CEDAW, the UN Bill of Rights for Women into Scots Law, as well as chatting about what other rights could be enshrined in law.

This event is part of the #AllOurRightsInLaw series coordinated by The Human Rights Consortium Scotland and the Scottish Human Rights Commission.

This webinar will be held using Zoom, and a link and joining instructions will be sent to everyone who signs up. If there is anything else we can do to make it easier for you to attend, for example by providing BSL interpretation or sending slides through in advance, please let us know using the 'special requirements' box on the booking form. This webinar is open to all.

This event is repeated on Monday 18th January from 12.30-1.30 if that is a more convenient time for you to attend.
