Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre - Dundee & Angus
Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASAC) Dundee & Angus supports women, and young people (including boys and young men up to the age of 18) effected by all forms of rape, sexual abuse and exploitation and to raise public awareness of the damaging and life-changing effects of rape and sexual abuse and exploitation. We do this by:
Provision of one to one and group support
Crisis Support
Outreach work in rural Angus
Advocacy
Helpline support
Prevention work within schools, youth clubs and colleges
Training of workers from other agencies & public awareness raising campaigns
Therapeutic work
Supporting women involved in prostitution via our Vice Versa Service
Partnership working with a broad spectrum of partner agencies to ensure survivors needs are met and also to work towards reducing the levels of sexual abuse and violence. This includes, police, health services (including mental and sexual health), social work, children and young people's services, the courts and other local voluntary and statutory services.
