Human Rights event
Come along to this consultation about removing the additional barriers to inclusion experienced by refugee and asylum seeking women who have physical, sensory, learning or mental health issues.
About the event
Inclusion Scotland, the Refugee Women’s Strategy Group and Engender are working together to organise this event. We want to ask you about how the Scottish Government should work to remove barriers to inclusion.
We want to hear your views and learn what is needed to make your lives better. We will pass this information to the Scottish Government to help them write policies that affect disabled people’s lives.
At the event we will:
- Hear your ideas for making you and your family's lives better
- Tell you about your rights
- Find our what you think about the Scottish Government's plans to improve disabled people's rights
Cost: The event is free. Lunch will be provided at the start. Travel expenses will be paid for. A crèche will be provided.
Support: There will be facilitators ensuring everyone has their say in the workshops. Interpreters will be provided on request.
Who can come: This event is open to all refugee and asylum seeking women, and we particularly welcome those who have physical, sensory, learning or mental health issues.
