This is such an important discussion! Modernizing abortion laws in Scotland is crucial to ensuring safe, accessible, and stigma-free reproductive healthcare for all. Everyone deserves the right to make informed choices about their own bodies without unnecessary legal barriers.

For those looking for safe and discreet access to abortion pills, OnlineAbortionRx provides reliable abortion pill kits with proper guidance and support. Access to healthcare should be a right, not a privilege—thank you for shedding light on this important issue!

Comment on GUEST POST: Feminist urbanism: Creating gender-equal cities in Scotland

Great to see Beth working with Engender on planning and place making issues. The Scottish Government’s main goals, as listed on the ENGENDER site are: eliminating child poverty, boosting the economy, addressing climate change, and improving public services. These goals haven't changed for some time. What is needed is to make the links between these goals and planning, transport and urban design. It is often not fully appreciated what impact planning, design and transport can make on each of these inter-related goals. Have a look at this little blog as well which might set the context.

Thanks Alys. Couldn't agree more. Read an interview with the Oxfam CEO in the Guardian. He was like a rabbit in the headlights. Couldn't understand the extent of public anger (and vitriol). He suggested that "it's not as if we were killing babies in their cots". Apart from the odious comparison, the inference is that assaulting and violating young girls and women isn't so bad?

Really helpful summary, thank you! So much of this crosses over into issues of critical importance for women and children experiencing domestic abuse, but the opportunities for preventing the car crash seem so limited!

OK .. I'm six weeks late in making a comment - sorry, but . . . . .

Is Engender planning any event on the Referendum - surely it is vital to hear what women are saying / hoping for in terms of equality? I heard that SWC couldn't help with a post CSW event because of their Referendum - but surely this should not disallow women focussed events?
