Engender are working with women in Northern Ireland and and Eire on a project called Women Into Public Life. The project is currently recruiting for the following three posts which are based in Lifford, Co. Donegal with an outreach base at Derry/Londonderry.

Project Coordinator (full time)
Outreach Project Worker (full time)
Part-time Financial Administrator (16 hours)
This INTERREG IVA Programme project is a collaborative and innovative regional partnership project between three key women’s organizations from Scotland, Derry/Londonderry and Donegal with the support of Donegal County Council. The partnership aims to address the continuing underrepresentation of women in decision-making fora and the development of policies to address this issue.
The project includes a range of interventions at local, national and across borders, including training, advocacy, strengthening of civic networks and support for women taking leadership roles. The project proposes to work in collaboration with public sector organizations to enhance the role and participation of women in decision making and to positively impact on public service delivery.
• Posts will be based at Lifford, Co. Donegal with an outreach base at Derry/Londonderry
• Timeframe: Specific purpose contracts will be offered to the successful candidates on the basis that it is anticipated that contracts will run to December, 2012.
