Zero Tolerance Charitable Trust seeks trustees

17 Dec 2009

Zero Tolerance is seeking to recruit up to four skilled and enthusiastic trustees to join our board.

The Trust works to tackle the root cases of male violence against women and children and promotes a primary prevention approach to challenging the attitudes, values and the structures that sustain inequality and gender-based abuse.

This voluntary position is an exciting opportunity to work with a small but very determined and vibrant charity and make a real difference.

We would particularly welcome applications from professionals with financial, legal or media experience, those working in the violence against women sector and those with trade union links.

We would also welcome applications from groups which are under-represented in our organisation, including people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds, people with disabilities, and men. We would also welcome applications from young women.

The Board of Trustees normally meets six times a year in the early evening.

For further information see: www.zerotolerance.org.uk or for an informal chat please feel free to contact Jenny Kemp or Michelle Lowe on 0131 624 8955.

How to apply:

If you are interested in joining The Zero Tolerance Trust Board please email or post your CV and a cover letter setting out why you are interested in joining the board of trustees and what skills you would bring to the position, to:

info@zerotolerance.org.uk  or 11 Maritime St, Edinburgh, EH6 6SB

The closing date for applications is Monday 11 January 2010.

Interviews will take place in late January.
