MARCH WITH US at THE GUDE CAUSE PROCESSION on OCTOBER 10TH
Engender invites you to join us as we take part in the re-enactment of the women’s suffrage procession that took place in Edinburgh in 1909.
The march on Saturday 10th October will celebrate the centenary of the 1909 procession which saw thousands of women and men take to the streets demanding that women be given the right to vote. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Scottish women over the past 100 years and to highlight the work for equality and justice that is ongoing.
The procession will walk from Bruntsfield to Calton Hill and will be in 3 sections – past, present and future. Engender will be in the ‘present’ section which will be marked by white/gold signs and balloons at the assembly point.
Assemble from 12pm at Bruntsfield Links (Whitehouse Loan)
March will set off at 1pm
